Mapping History :
Well, everything loses it`s glance and I gave Half-life a try. I really like Half-life
( I still do ). I remember my very first Halflife game. After ages I finnaly got on a 32
player server and I loved the gameplay and the maps altho allot of people owned me because
of my bad connection and low-end system. I remember playing 320x240 software mode back then.
Well, played allot of Halflife TFC. Had clans, joined clans, left clans. At home the PC`s
were upgraded and it was possible to play Half-life on LAN. Our LAN formed the main network
for the later Lanparty`s I gave at home. When I like a game allot, I want to make maps
for it. So I found Worldcraft. I didn`t understand the heck of it even with the tutorials
I had in PC magazines. I gave it up. Later I returned to try it again and it suddenly
worked. I made a plain Halflife map and there were more possibillity`s then on Doom II.
Then I discovered SvenCo-op. I played SvenCoop 1.3x on LAN and short after that 1.9 came
out. So I started making a co-operative map. I joined the Forums and posted my very first
map Bridge. I was stunned by the idea everyone in the world could now see my work. Well,
I never heard of r_speeds or detail so the map didn`t got a good note. I wasn`t
disappointed, instead I got allot of support from the local mappers there and worked on.
I released a new map serie called SaveSven. This one was allot better but still not good
enough because I lacked in skill. Later on I started to make small maps to test things
out. That really worked. I released Bridge2k. This one was a succes. I mapped on in the
same style and released GargHouse2k that even got into SvenCoop Map Pack 1. Then I started
off on a new project. A Hazard course for SvenCoop. Everyone was freaked about the idea.
Unlucky it was overhyped. I released Beta 2 but Forum Moderaters said it would never
make the real SvenCoop because it lacked in detail. I deleted the whole thing and started
off making allot of nice architecture and suddenly the idea was liked by the Forum
Moderators but I didn`t find reason to continue on it and I paused the project. I had more
projects running in the old style but I paused them because they would never come high.
Then I released Central Assault. My very first large map with real architecture and
gameplay. And it was liked by the Forum members.
Tho I needed more skills so I made different styles of maps. It worked out well. I made
a puzzle only map and a architecture only map and I could say I learned allot from it.
I released Enclosures, a very old map serie of mine. After that I didn`t release anything
for a while. I was working on many new maps but most idea`s just wear off and I got stuck
with not finished maps. The SvenCo-op Community kinda slowed away. Mapping was slow, the
whole forums were slow. So I made a thread about the forum getting a mess. That turned out
into becoming a moderator. I`m now reviewing and able to select maps for the Gold Showcase.
I`m still working on many things atm, hope I get some more released soon.

I`m doing it for years now and I still love to do it. What do I talk about ? I talk about
mapping. Yes, mapping. I started off when I was 14. I bought my own PC for the money I got
for my 14th birthday. It was a very fast Pentium 100. We allready had a Pentium 75 back at
home so I ran to the shop getting a null-modem cable and I started off in the world of
multiplayer gaming. I invited friends over to my house to play Doom together. I was good.
I was damn good. My friends fell down one by one. Scores up to 200 to 1 frags.
After deathmatch I was very fond of Cooperative. I bought a Doom II kit with 3000 wads on
CD and we just random picked one to play together. Then I discovered an editor called Deu2.
The gate to make your own Doom II levels. I started off making a few Deathmatch levels
and they were very liked among my friends. So I made more levels. I started making large
co-operative maps.
