Update
5-12-2005
I've updated the Projects and the Download pages with SvenCo-op Holiday and Last Stand Final v3. Holiday is my latest work released on my 21th birthday. Currently I'm working on the 4th version of Last Stand for the SvenCo-op 3.5 Bronze Release. I'll take the old link down when it's released so no-one will have version mix-ups. Here is a picture of Holiday Island :

Internal Alpha testings of 3.5 are very promising and I hope it will be released for the public very soon. The Bronze release will not feature the gamemodes yet, so I'm not working on Quarter right now. That project has to wait till the Silver or Gold release of SvenCo-op 3.5.

Long Update
15-8-2005
Can you say "lazy ass" ? You could while mentioning that I havn't updated the site in over 5 months. Doesn't mean tho that I've been sitting idle all that time. Quite some has happend ever since the last update. Last Stand has been released to the public, and the comments will be used to create the 3.5 version.

Futher more I've almost finished a SvenCo-op 3.5 submission using one of the new gamemodes (in this case the defend gamemode). The map is called "Quarter" and only lacks the 3.5 enitity work till now, everything else is practically done. I've had an interview with the upcoming "SvenCo-op Magazine" where I stated that I would show some screenshots of the new map on my website. So here we go :

Last Stand Bonus Map
7-3-2005
It's been a while since I've posted news on the site. Although some things have been happening lately. First, my Case Closed Conversion has been released on www.svencoop.com. You can download it here. The more personal news is that I'm working on the Bonus map for Last Stand. I've shown you a developement picture a while ago and here are more pictures for your pleasure. I'm trying to keep a high detail level. I hope I'm able to pull this extra map off, because the HL1 engine is very limited.

Questioning Mapping & Last Stand
28-1-2005
As I said before, Half-life2 Mapping isn't really my thing, so I've started to move my work into a different area. I'm took my first shots at Moddeling. I'm currently working on a medium poly .50 Desert Eagle. Moddeling is pretty fun and I guess in the future it will be even more important to Mods because now more than 50% of maps actually are rendered models. Here is a screenshot of my Desert Eagle in progress :

I'm continueing my work on my last HL1 (SvenCo-op) Map : "Last Stand". After having some problems with compiling the first map I decided to make that one a bit smaller and create an extra map for the pack. That would mean that in total it will be a 4 maps series. Here is a small screenshot of the concept of the new map. Note that it is still all just concept. The area you see now has been restyled a few times already and I guess it will need some more tweaking later on, but it gives a bit of an idea how it's going to look later on. The gameplay idea is the a idea of the 3rd map (wich is totally horde), but than in form of walktrough. The player will be dropped into a heavy war zone so this will be a load of action and combat.

A New Year & Site Update
9-1-2005
Welcome to 2005 ! I hope you all had a good party. I certainly did. I`ve updated the site a bit, mainly the Project section. I`ve updated the descriptions of the projects and added pictures and download links. Not all maps have pictures yet, but I`ll get those added as soon I find some time to take good screenshots.

HL2 mapping is really slow at the moment. Can't get myself to start mapping on a serious project because I`m really low on motivation. HL2 needs many additional skills like moddeling and creating textures and I lack these skills. I have 2 options, learn how to make textures and make models, but it might take ages to get really good skills at both of them, or assemble a team to create maps with. Insurgency hasn't openend any jobs for Mappers yet and I`m not really motivated enough to start my own Mod. Troubled times, so I stay on what I do best and that's helping people out on SvenCo-op Mapping.

Half-life 2 and Vukovar
17-11-2004
Half-life 2 has been released. After more than a year of waiting, it's finally there. And it's going to kick some serious ass in the gaming world for sure. And with that many new mapping possibility's just opened up. I've been doing some work on a map I`m planning to release for the upcoming HL2 Mod : Insurgency. As soon they are re-opening their doors for new mappers I`m going to apply for the job.

Ofcourse I do not want to come there empty handed, so I`ve already started "creating worlds". My map is based on the Chechz war in the Balkans begin 1990's, and focussed on the surroundings of the city Vukovar. Here are 2 pictures from the Hammer Editor showing a bombed church. The other is drawn concept art for the same map, showing a setting of a dam in a mountain river.

Happy Birthday!
05-11-2004
It's the 5th of November and that means I just turned 20 years old. For a little celebration I made another birthday map for this year. It's called party3 and it's a follow-up from the 2001 and 2002 party maps. Visit the SvenCo-op Forum thread for the details. The file can be downloaded there and from the Files Section on this site.

Last Stand
15-10-2004
My latest project Last Stand has been playtested often and I`m now completely happy with it. The final version has been shipped to SvenCo-op and is awaiting to be put in the release of SvenCo-op 3.5.

Last Stand is also my last work for Half-life. I`ll be moving on to Half-life 2. I have plans to start a Single Player Mod or join up with a new HL2 mod with some potentional. I`m not sure if I`m going to stay with SvenCo-op when they start on SvenCo-op 2, but that all depends on the amount of time and situation I'm in then. I`ve been with SvenCo-op for 4 years now and I guess I reached everything I wanted there. Might be time to move on to something new. But let's just wait how things turn out.

Last Stand was in the Special Section quite a while ago, so I`ll just give a quick explanation what the map is about. Last Stand is not one map, but a three-map-series. The first and second map are walktrough style, and the 3rd map is horde-style. Here are some pictures who show the theme pretty well. The left and the middle picture are shots from the hordestyle map (Last3) and the right picture shows a area in a walktrough map (Last2).

New Site Design
27-9-2004
I got boring with the old design so I chose for a gray/white compilation and it resulted in this :). Looks pretty good in my oppinion, still need to notice that I still build sites in Notepad and Paint.
Update 1-10-2004 : I`m still updating some sections. Some extra artwork and the Files section has been updated. I`m currently restyling the Project area, but that might still take a little while.

Till next update !

SvenCo-op 3.0 Content Pack
24-9-2004
Yesterday SvenCo-op released the 3.0 Content Pack. We gathered the best maps/models available on the Forums and Mad Jonesy compiled them into a official pack. The pack features one of my new maps "Aerial Contact". This map has been updated for the pack with some minor changes. The file in the Download area is the same as the one in the pack so do not worry about version conflicts. Here is a picture from a server I was playing on :

I didn't test the map with a load of players before, but I must say the gameplay really works right with 8 players. If you open a server I would recommend at least 6 playerslots.

Enjoy !

Community Map Progress and Radiation Buisiness
21-7-2004
And I`m back with some news. SvenCo-op upgraded their forum and our Community Map Project now has it's own Forum. I`m moderating it and have complete freedom to harras people over there ;). Go check it out here!. We`ll have more opportunity to discuss the features of the community map. We had a small pre-alpha testing run of commap,commap2 and commap3 a little while ago, and ofcourse I made a few screenies of that ;). With only 7 mappers to go the community map might get done in a few months if nothing bad happends. More on the project later on. Enjoy the screens.

I also am part of the Staff of SvenCo-op Radiation for a while now. Radiation is SvenCo-op's official site with closer to the community news and it will try to get a grip on the custom mapping with review, tutorials, articles and a map database. The site is this within developement and still a secret to most people.

Community Map is still going well but most projects are laying low because I`m in a bit of a mapping block. The Halflife engine is too weak to do what I want and basicly I`m waiting for HL2 to get back to something major in mapping.

So much for now. More important stuff later on ;)
